Privacy Policy

Setup OpenClaw privacy policy.

Last updated: March 2026

1. Overview

Setup OpenClaw is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. We collect only what is necessary to deliver our OpenClaw deployment services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, company name, and billing information when you purchase our services. During deployment, we temporarily access connected accounts (email, calendar, messaging) via Composio OAuth middleware to configure integrations. We do not store raw credentials or retain access after setup is complete.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: deliver and improve our deployment services, communicate with you about your setup and hypercare, process payments, send important service updates, and respond to your questions or support requests. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Access During Setup

During the deployment process, our team requires temporary access to your systems and connected accounts. This access follows the principle of least privilege — we request only the minimum permissions needed. All integrations are configured through Composio OAuth middleware, which manages tokens separately with full audit trails and instant revoke capability.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: payment processors (Stripe) to handle billing, Composio for OAuth integration management, communication tools (Slack, email) for support, and calendar scheduling (Cal.com) for booking calls. Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing their use of your data.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. All deployments include Docker sandboxing, firewall hardening, exec allowlists, and read-only default permissions. Communication during hypercare occurs through encrypted channels.

7. Data Retention

We retain your contact and billing information for as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations. Temporary access credentials used during setup are not retained after deployment. Configuration documentation is provided to you and not stored on our systems beyond the hypercare period unless you have a Managed Care plan.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements), opt out of marketing communications, and revoke any integration access at any time through Composio's instant revoke feature.

9. Cookies

Our website uses minimal cookies for essential functionality and analytics. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking across other websites.

10. Children's Privacy

Setup OpenClaw services are designed for business use and are not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We will notify existing customers of material changes via email.
