No. We deploy remotely worldwide. The only exception is the Mac Mini In-Person package, which is limited to the SD & LA Area. All other packages are fully remote — we've deployed agents for teams in NYC, London, Austin, and everywhere in between.

OpenAI acquired the OpenClaw brand and some team members, but the open-source project remains fully available and actively maintained by the community. The codebase is independent and continues to be developed. Setup OpenClaw deploys the open-source version.

Most customers deploy on a cloud VPS ($5–10/month) — it's simpler, cheaper, and works for everything except iMessage. If you need iMessage integration for your agent, you'll need a Mac Mini (~$600 at cost). We help you decide during the kickoff call based on your specific needs.
